Recently a client with chronic thumb pain came in for care. After a comprehensive assessment, review of findings and treatment plan, I provided acupuncture. After placing the needles and ensuring the client was comfortable I asked her why she was tearful. She said it was the first time in ages that she was pain-free. The pain had dictated her life for so long but now she felt free and had hope that there were better days ahead.
